Over the weekend, we took a trip to Old Lyme, Connecticut. We saw that The Cooley Gallery was open, so we stopped in. We met Betsey Cooley. With her knowledge of the Old Lyme Colony Painters, she introduced us to the works of Aaron Draper Shattuck, Clark Voorhees and Henry Cooke White. The gallery is a beautiful mix of Connecticut paintings and modern light colored wood furniture with a focus on dramatic clean lines.
