Guyette and Deeter July 25 & 26 Auction in Easton, Maryland

The annual Summer auction held by Guyette and Deeter took place at The Country School in Easton, Maryland on July 25 & 26, 2025. The auction house held a lovely cocktail preview the evening of July 24 at the school. Live music and delicious appetizers enhanced the convivial feeling inspired by decoy enthusiasts and warm and helpful staff.

We studied the beautifully illustrated catalog beforehand. Viewing the spectacular decoys and artwork up close and personal does the catalog justice. We were eager to see the Joseph Lincoln wood duck ( photo #1) which sold for $216,000. Actually, 5 items sold for over $100,000. The total gross for the entire 2 day auction was over $4 million.

Charlie and I felt welcome at the preview. Collectors were eager to share their knowledge with us. Staff were extremely willing to discuss the incredible collections. We are looking forward to returning and learning more.
