Always eagerly anticipated, the Antiques Dealers’ Association of America Award of Merit dinner took place on Friday, November 7, 2025 at the Chase Center in Wilmington, Delaware. The dinner is open to the public with advance reservations. This year, the ballroom was packed to honor the 2025 recipient H.L. “Skip” Chalfant. of Chester County, Pennsylvania. After a brief introduction by Judith Loto and Artur Liverant, Skip took the podium for his acceptance speech and regaled the crowd with engaging stories of antiques bought and sold. Skip is known for his prowess as a race car driver and daring exploits as well as his fascination for peaceful scuba diving. Honestly, I would not miss these events. They are entertaining and instructive. After Skip’s speech, Arthur Liverant presented Skip with the Award of Merit, a coveted carved finial symbolizing character and quality of the ADA. Congratulations to Skip Chalfant on an achievement well earned!
