One of my favorite museum exhibitions is the Grandma Moses room at the Bennington Museum in Vermont. The space is filled with work by Anna Mary Robertson aka Grandma Moses who was a popular self taught artist back in the 1950’s & 60’s. She began painting quite late in life and featured her memories and life as she knew it. The Grandma Moses exhibition is well documented and definitely worth a visit. Btw, the rest of the museum is excellent, too.
